This was my second project in ART 216. It’s a triptych, yuh.
These ultra mega go-getters in my design classes are a constant source of guilt and self-loathing. It makes me lash out wildly. I gush irrelevant arguments to myself: What are you, 19? You graduated last year? Yeah, what you’re experiencing right now is something I like to call more free time than you’ll ever see again in your life. So maybe stop whining and try to enjoy the gigantic burden it is to have so much natural talent and so little responsibility.
More sources of oppressive, unrelenting guilt - the top 18 things I’m not doing enough of at any given moment:
- taking pictures
- playing soccer
- beefing up my portfolio
- working on my graphic design school application
- getting it on
- playing on the beach
- homework
- listening to Cassidy talk about spider-man
- being cool (after all this time … really no idea how to do that)
- writing (esp a better blog post)
- playing at the park
- throwing the ball for the dogs
- getting to know my new kitchen (which I really love, but kind of resent because it seems to think a lot more highly of itself than I believe any kitchen without a gas range has the right to)
- learning to use more cool software apps like autodesk’s maya
- listening to Riley talk about her birthday party plans
- cooking
- that website I’m working on
- uploading stuff to flickr
